hush

my rat's probably cuter than yours

This is Lottie in a dress that I made her <3

first rat

It's a start: still many aspects to work out.

The rat's body...I couldn't believe all of the amazing detail.

Lottie

This is my new hairless rat, Lottie. I love her so so so so sooooo much!

Lottie helping Alex with his homework.

only quiet

My second attempt at mouse taxidermy...this one turned out sort of acceptable, but some of the fur fell out, hence, the repose stance. She wasn't supposed to look so sad...though, maybe it works.

crow and platter

This crow was a victim of a car crash. This one was definitely a challenge; a very messy job, but I'm happy at the way the end result turned out.

morning

Taxidermy finch head, fresh flowers, and antique box.

tricky pelican

Before:

After.

Alex and I found these pelican bones on a beach in Ventura, CA. We had to dig a bit, but the end result's made me thus far very happy! Although, I'm pretty near sure that the order of vertebrae/positioning is off...but, for a first try, I am trying to convince myself that this is acceptable.
